More and more people and companies are concerned about the quality of life on our planet and are actively trying to improve it. Energy is an important area of focus for them. We believe that it’s everyone’s sustainable energy. Through education and knowledge sharing, we are teaching a broad audience how to do that. We are giving lessons about energy and the energy transition at schools and in companies. And we are working together with other companies and organisations to stimulate innovation.
Our sustainable future lies in the hands of our youngest generations. Primary school children are being taught about sustainable energy or are learning about wind energy in the WindLab. Since 2013, we have reached around 6,500 pupils, which is more than 1,600 every year.
One of our innovative partners is Solar Team Eindhoven. In 2017, the team will once again take part in the World Solar Challenge in Australia. This group of students at the Eindhoven University of Technology is developing a family car that runs completely on solar energy. We are working with them to make electric cars available and affordable for everyone.
We are working on the One Planet Thinking project with the World Wildlife Fund. One Planet Thinking helps companies to develop a strategy and implement it so that we do not overstep the limits of our planet. As a founding partner, Eneco Group has a seat in the programme’s steering group. Eneco Group is also actively taking part in the community of practice, in which we are sharing our knowledge and experience with other companies.
Eneco Group’s sponsoring policy focuses on all the activities described above. We are currently not looking for new sponsoring initiatives.
